Dr. Martens

Dr. Martens

Although the story of Dr. Martens began when a German army doctor, Klaus Märtens, broke his ankle while skiing in the Bavarian Alps in 1945 and subsequently invented a more comfortable boot to suit his injured foot, Dr Martens has been a British footwear institution since the 60s. Since then Dr Martens have been viewed as practical, rebellious, functional, fashionable and a whole range of other adjectives too numerous to list. Today, Dr. Martens continue to produce their shoes and boots, which are adopted by each new generation that discovers them.
